Nevada Desert Wedding: Benefits of Having a Small Wedding

Couple kissing after their wedding

Carlos and Aliya’s Nevada desert wedding was absolutely gorgeous. They decided to have an intimate wedding experience with their closest family and friends present for their day. Intimate weddings are a great way to ensure that your guests feel special.

Small weddings guarantee family/friends a chance to spend time with the bride and groom. Wedding days are BUSY! So limiting the guest count can help make sure that you will actually get to interact with ALL of your guests. Having less guests, is also less stressful and creates a warm and cozy atmosphere.

Being surrounded by your closest friends and family on your wedding day allows you to know that only your deepest relationships are present to help you celebrate one of the most important days in your lives.

A Look at Carlos and Aliya’s Nevada Desert Wedding

Carlos and Aliya came from Texas to have their intimate wedding at the Lake Las Vegas Sporting Club. It was an absolutely gorgeous venue located in Henderson, NV that has stunning views of the mountains. It has a resort like feel to it and is equipped with several amenities for everyone to enjoy.

Carlos and Aliya wanted to have a super low key and extremely intimate wedding. When talking to her ahead of time, she wanted no structure or timeline really, she just wanted to wing it and not stress over any of the details. Their day was beautiful and their friends made it so fun.

We had planned to go out the next day to do a portrait session of just the two of them in the desert. BUT after the wedding, Carlos had injured himself and they had to postpone their portraits. So they made another trip back here to Nevada so they could throw on their wedding attire and get those ‘glowy’ desert portraits! We had a blast shooting and they were happy to visit family again. I was so happy that everything worked out and we were able to spend some time exploring the desert together.
