When I started planning this camping trip with friends I knew I wanted to create grungy Joshua Tree couples photos. I was so excited when Rob & Beca reached out and were up to come shoot with me! We packed up for a weekend in February and had the best time, and the photos came out even better then I had pictured in my head. This is definitely a weekend I will always remember! Beca + Rob

Beca and Rob are such a fun couple and are so easy to photograph. They were giggling and running around together all day, and were so comfortable in front of the camera. This shoot was so fulfilling for me and allowed my creativity to flow with a joyful, silly, and laidback couple. Rob had Beca laughing the whole time, you can almost hear her bubbly laugh through these photos.

Photographing Couples In Joshua Tree

Joshua Tree is such a destination spot that is one of my favorites to shoot at. This desert oasis runs right through the Mojave Desert and is just a little over three hours from Las Vegas. It is filled with unique shaped trees that give the best backdrop to all your images.

Connecting With My Clients

We connected so well with both Beca and Rob during their session that we invited them to stay and hang with us after the shoot was done for s’mores but you know I couldn’t pass up this precious photo op! I love being able to connect with my clients so well that we are able to become friends and hangout after our shoot is over. Beca actually lives closer to Laguna Beach and we were actually heading that way later on in our trip to camp by the beach. While talking about roasting s’mores over the fire we found out Beca had never heard of or tried brats before (best camping food ever!!) so we had to grill one up over the fire for her. She decided they are glorified hot dogs and it was such a funny ending to a session with new friends.

An Honorable Mention For Desi & Maverick

I had to give the dogs, Desi and Maverick their time to shine! They were running around in the background for most of their session, it was so cute! Beca LOVES Desi and Maverick and she works at a dog boarder so she loved having the pups in some of her photos. Plus playing with them all day!
