This engagement session at Cathedral Rock in Sedona, Arizona was a lot of fun to photograph! The warm and bright colors added to the incredible backdrop. I am quickly discovering that desert vibes in nature are becoming some of my favorite locations to photograph my couples. Getting the opportunity to explore and really soak in the outdoors is an amazing experience to add to your engagement session! This is something that I really connect with my couples on, the more time outdoors the better!

The Perfect Outdoor Experience

This engagement session at Cathedral Rock in Sedona was the first session I ever really had the chance to bring my dog, Desi on. The couple has a dog that looks very similar to Desi so they thought it was a blast to have her there! I am always down for a session where I can bring my dog, or my couples can bring theirs! The goal of my sessions are always to just have a fun time and explore the outdoors together while documenting those special moments naturally!

Cathedral Rock in Sedona Adventure

A photographer friend and I did this shoot together. We used it for fun and to just get creative with our photography. We drove 4 hours there and 4 hours back in the same day! While we were there we were able to spend the day adventuring the Sedona desert area. Cathedral Rock in Sedona and the surrounding area is one of my favorite places! I cannot wait to get back there and explore the desert more.

Engagement Photo Couple Outfits

In this desert engagement session the couple selected neutral colors to wear. This worked out perfectly with the contrast of the warm tones in the desert background. Jake and Tori changed their outfits during the shoot which added to the variety of photos that we were able to take. Some were more intimate and dressed up and the other style was very relaxed and casual. Whenever you are able to switch up your outfits even just a little bit that will always bring some extra diversity to your photos and often times can change the style and vibe with just a small tweak.
