Blue Lakes, Breckenridge Engagement

This Blue Lakes engagement session in Breckenridge was a pretty spontaneous shoot! I had been talking with Sabrina for almost a year (or more? Time flies, it’s hard to remember!) making plans for their big day in the fall of 2020!

As we all know, COVID was not a friend to those who wanted to get married in 2020. Jon and Sabrina made the super hard choice to postpone their wedding a whole year! I was still living in Nashville, Tennessee at this time so I still planned to come to Colorado to visit my family when I was supposed to be coming out for their wedding.

While I was in town, I really wanted to do something special for Jon and Sabrina and actually get to meet them in person. They agreed that a photo shoot would be super fun so we adventured to Blue Lakes in Breckenridge and took some amazing engagement photos the day before their original wedding date!

The whole session was SO FUN and we had a blast with each other! We all saw mountain goats for the first time and even got creative with them in the background. You might notice how hazy it was in the background, Colorado had several ongoing fires last fall that made everything look pretty hazy and the sunset look super orange! Check out the last photo! Every engagement shoot I do in Colorado has me falling in love with the state more and more.

I’m still looking forward to shooting Jon and Sabrina’s wedding this coming fall!
